Sunflowers at sunrise
Sometime over the winter, while working on my new website, I lost all of the beautiful words and images I had spent so much time curating for my past blog posts. I had so many people tell me over the years how much they enjoyed reading my blog. I even had a friend suggest that I turn my blog posts into a coffee table book, and this is indeed what I was hoping to do with all those words and pictures. Needless to say, I was so sad to start over, I write from the heart and the stories I had already told can never be told the same way again. But honestly, nothing has been "easy" in 2020 and it's time to start anew.
This past Friday, I was lucky enough to photograph Ryann and Sammy, who have been the best of friends since preschool. Sometime at the start of the session, Ryanne mentioned she was wearing her grandmother's necklace and upon hearing this, Sammy exclaimed that she was also wearing her own grandmother's necklace! It's no wonder these girls have remained bffs throughout their childhood.
Sammy and Ryanne are the kind of friends who will surely end up spending long periods apart but then will always find their way back to one another. And when they do, they will pick up as if no time has passed between them.

Congratulations Ryanne and Sammy, this world is lucky to have you in it!
